Tickets are now on sale for the new season of INTERSEZIONI, the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano series that brings symphonic music into dialogue with science, public engagement and contemporary thought.
What can music tell us about the world we live in? Can it help us understand climate change, bring us closer to the boundaries between science and imagination, or even lead us to question the origins of our own musical instinct?
These questions shape the three events of the 2026/27 Season: three very different perspectives united by the same idea of transforming the concert into a space for discovery, where music is not simply something to be listened to, but a starting point from which to observe reality, ask questions and forge unexpected connections.
The series opens on 7 November with The Four Seasons of Climate Change, a journey through the music of Vivaldi that invites us to reflect on how climate transformation is also changing the way we perceive nature and its beauty: from an original sense of harmony to the imbalance of the present, and towards the possibility of imagining a new equilibrium.
On 12 and 13 December, Harry Potter: Science, Music and Magic takes the stage. Starting from the world of Hogwarts, the concert invites audiences to explore the often surprising boundary between what we imagine as magic and what science is actually able to explain and make possible.
The series concludes on 6 March 2027 with Born for Music. Evolution, Neuroscience and the Origins of Our Musical Instinct: a journey through evolution and cognitive neuroscience in search of the origins of our musical instinct. Why is music able to move us, make us dance, create bonds and bring together, in different forms, every human culture?
Three events in which music becomes a tool for knowledge, guiding us through climate, science, evolution and neuroscience.
Tickets are now available online at sinfonicadimilano.org and from the Auditorium di Milano Box Office.
