On September 21, 2025, the Fondazione Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano will inaugurate a new path of social commitment with the event
“Voices that Meet – When Music Becomes Shared Memory”, hosted at
Paese Ritrovato in Monza, in collaboration with
La Meridiana – Società Cooperativa Sociale.
This is the
Foundation’s first official initiative in the field of Alzheimer’s, a significant milestone that enriches the mission of the
Discovery Program, aimed at promoting music as a tool for learning, social cohesion, integration, and well-being.
The musical program
During the workshop, some of the most beloved songs of Italian popular music will be presented, alongside celebrated pages from Verdi’s repertoire, capable of awakening shared memories and emotions. The journey will move from the carefree lightness of
Tintarella di luna by Franco Migliacci and Bruno De Filippi to
Un bacio a mezzanotte by Gorni Kramer, and on to the ironic charm of Vittorio Mascheroni’s
Papaveri e papere. Timeless classics will also be featured, such as Domenico Modugno’s
Nel blu dipinto di blu, Gino Paoli’s
Il cielo in una stanza, and the Nomadi’s
Io vagabondo. Enriching the musical path will be two cornerstones of Verdi’s repertoire: the famous "Brindisi" from
La traviata and the choral "Va’ pensiero" from
Nabucco.
