He is the official singer of Morricone in “He Was My Father, Ennio Morricone,” a concert for soprano, baritone, choir, piano and orchestra, featuring the famous soundtracks and songs of the Morricones, with Andrea Morricone, the son of the renowned Mº Ennio Morricone at the conducting the orchestra and pianist Cecilia Grillo at the piano. This tour is performing in the most prestigious theaters and locations around the world.
A great-nephew of Maestro Amedeo Escobar, composer of the famous song “Granada,” he joined the “Pueri Cantores” of the “Cappella Musicale Pontificia Sistina” choir in the Vatican at a very young age, under the direction of Monsignor Domenico Bartolucci. There, he began his studies in singing and piano. Later, he entered the piano class of Maestro Carla Giudici at the “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory of Music in Rome, graduating with the highest honors and distinction, and subsequently refining his skills with Maestro Rodolfo Caporali. As a competition winner, he earned the professional qualification of “Substitute Collaborative Maestro” at the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale A. Belli in Spoleto. He studied lyric singing with baritone Lino Puglisi, graduating brilliantly from the “G. Briccialdi” Conservatory of Music in Terni under the guidance of contralto Mirella Caponetti, and in Musical Theatre with Mary Setrakian.
He has received numerous awards, including the prestigious International Gold Medal “Foyer des Artistes” Award as a “Baritone with exceptional technical and interpretive qualities.” This award is given to authoritative figures in the fields of culture, art, and medicine who contribute to the advancement of civil and social progress, such as John Paul II, Francesco Cossiga, Rita Levi Montalcini, Gianni Agnelli, Franco Zeffirelli, Alberto Sordi, and many others. Other accolades include the “Premio Verismo” at the International Sacred Music Competition in Volta Mantovana and the “Tito Schipa” Award in Ostuni, among others.
He has served as Artistic Director for several musical associations, including A.R.M.O.N.I. (Associazione Romana Musicale Opere Nazionali e Internazionali), the Poker d’Assi Cultural Association, and RomeOperaConcerts.
He has performed in some of the world’s most renowned theaters and concert halls, such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Hamarikyu Asahi Hall in Tokyo, Parco della Musica in Rome, Auditorium della Conciliazione in Rome, Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Cairo Opera House, Teatro Valle in Rome, Teatro Argentina in Rome, and the Ancient Theatre of Taormina, for prestigious musical institutions alongside illustrious names in the international opera scene, including Katia Ricciarelli, Giovanna Casolla, Maria Dragoni, Adriana Morelli, Piero Giuliacci, and many others. He has been a frequent guest at the contemporary music festivals of Nuova Consonanza. He has also served multiple times as a jury member in numerous international music competitions (such as the “Ibla Grand Prize,” “Bartók-Kabalevsky-Prokofiev” in Radford, USA, “Vincenzo Bellini” in Ragusa, and others), alongside prominent figures in the international music world, including Maestro Abbado and many others.
He has been broadcast multiple times on radio and television worldwide, performing Verdi’s Requiem Mass and Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. He has recorded Mascagni’s “Messa di Gloria” and the progressive rock opera “Jekyll and Hyde” by Reversal Symmetry.
Though his vocal versatility is wide-ranging, he has specialized in the great Verdi and verismo roles, such as La Traviata, Rigoletto, Il Trovatore, Tosca, Il Tabarro, Gianni Schicchi, Pagliacci, Cavalleria Rusticana, Andrea Chénier, and others.
