Born in Klagenfurt in 1999, Jeremias Fliedl received his initial training with Igor Mitrovic. He later continued his studies with Clemens Hagen at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and with Julian Steckel at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. He received further artistic inspiration from Daniel Müller-Schott and Michael Sanderling. He is the first Austrian cellist to be awarded as a laureate at the Queen Elisabeth Competition.

Since 2022, Jeremias Fliedl has been playing the «ex Gendron, Lord Speyer», a cello made by Antonio Stradivari in 1693, which is privately loaned to him.
