Laura Verrecchia began her musical education by studying piano at the age of 8, and then obtained a singing diploma and a master's degree with honors and honorable mention at the "Luigi Cherubini" music conservatory in Florence in 2015, under the guidance of soprano Donatella Debolini. Winner of numerous international opera competitions, such as the Spiros Argiris International Competition in Sarzana, the Riccardo Zandonai International Competition and the Ottavio Ziino Competition in Rome, she debuted the role of Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia with the Opera Studio LTL project, immediately establishing herself at an international level among the most significant and requested interpreters of this role, later sung at the Florence Opera, at Glyndebourne, at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, at the Savonlinna Opera Festival, at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, etc.
Confirmed later among the most talented mezzo-sopranos of the Rossini and bel canto repertoire, after attending the Accademia Rossiniana of the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, where she sang the role of Marchesa Melibea in Il viaggio a Reims, we point out among the highlights of her recent engagements: Angelina in La Cenerentola at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, at the Carlo Felice in Genoa and at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste; Isabella in L'Italiana in Algeri at the Opera of Toulon, at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste and at the Hungarian State Opera in Budapest; Zaida in Il Turco in Italia at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and at the Bayerische Staatsoper, in Munich; Lucilla in La scala di seta at the Royal Opera House Muscat; Isoletta in La Straniera at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino; Romeo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi and Seymour in Anna Bolena at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste.
