Assistant Professor of Musicology at the Department of Musicology and Cultural Heritage, University of Pavia (Cremona campus), where he teaches courses in Film Music, Music and Media, and Music History. He earned his B.A. in Piano at the Conservatory “G. Nicolini” of Piacenza (2011) and his Ph.D. in Musicology at the University of Pavia (2015). His research has been supported by Tufts University (Boston), the Giorgio Cini Foundation (Venice), and the Accademia Musicale Chigiana (Siena). He has published essays in international volumes and journals. He co-edited, with Roberto Calabretto and Elena Mosconi, the volume All’ascolto del cinema italiano: musiche, voci, rumori (2019) and is the author of Egisto Macchi: The Assassination of Trotsky. Sources of the Creative Process (Brepols, 2022). He is active in the cultural promotion activities of the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and also collaborates with radio broadcasters such as Radio Rai 3, Rete Toscana Classica, and Radiotelevisione della Svizzera Italiana
