At last, they cut themselves free, escape from the Grand Puppet Theatre and set off on a journey, meeting curious characters and facing unexpected adventures along the way, while the company’s stern director, Don Fernando Malvasia, follows close behind.
Gianni Rodari’s poetic tale is accompanied by orchestral music by Paolo Furlani, in a performance that celebrates the desire for freedom, imagination and the courage to choose one’s own path.
