The Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, together with the Dresdner Sinfoniker, is pleased to announce the significant support received from the European Commission through the Creative Europe programme for the “Europasinfonie” project.
Twelve Countries. One Orchestra.
The Europasinfonie project, funded by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), will make music history in the summer of 2027 in Dresden and across the other participating countries. Twelve leading European orchestras and choirs, coordinated by the Dresdner Sinfoniker, will join forces to create a virtual orchestra.
For the first time, musicians from twelve European countries will perform together in real time, despite being located up to 2,200 kilometres apart. This will be made possible by specially developed ultra-low-latency transmission technology, essential for performing music together over the internet.
