The Accessibility Project, developed by the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano with the support of Prof. Elena Di Giovanni and Prof. Francesca Raffi (University of Macerata), was created with the aim of making the symphonic concert experience more inclusive, engaging, and accessible to all, with particular attention to people with sensory disabilities (deaf and hard of hearing, blind and visually impaired) and intellectual disabilities.
Starting with the 2025/26 Symphonic Season, a selection of concerts has been offered in an “accessible” format, featuring dedicated cultural mediation and audience support tools developed in collaboration with accessibility experts and partner organizations.

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES AND RESOURCES
For concerts included in the Accessibility Project, the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano provides a range of services designed to meet different accessibility needs:
- Accessible Season Brochure
- Accessible Concert Programmes
Available in digital format and featuring: - Videos in Italian Sign Language (LIS)
- Audio versions of programme texts and audio descriptions of the images
- Easy-to-Read content
- Texts designed to facilitate understanding and orientation throughout the concert experience
- A listening guide via the Connect Me Too app (CMT S.r.l.), providing audio description and headphone-guided support for blind and visually impaired audience members
- Experiential Workshops and Pre-Concert Listening Sessions
Led by experts, these activities take place before the concert and are designed to support a gradual and shared approach to the musical experience.

NEW INSTRUMENTS, NEW SEASON, NEW ENERGY
Two years ago, our community achieved something extraordinary: raising over €55,000 in just 30 days to provide the Orchestra with a new set of timpani. Today, with the 2026/27 Season approaching, we are aiming for a new goal: to raise €30,000 to renew the Orchestra’s percussion instruments and continue ensuring the artistic excellence of our concerts.
