Starting in 2021, becoming a Supporter is even more convenient: all Supporters can take advantage of the Art Bonus mechanism.
This is a tax break established by Legislative Decree 83/2014 and made permanent by the 2016 Stability Law, aimed at incentivizing donations to support culture, entertainment, and cultural heritage. This benefit allows Supporters to recoup a portion of their contribution with a 65% tax credit over three equal annual installments. Take, for example, the FILANTROPO Supporter category who makes a donation of €1,000. A portion of this contribution (€175.50) is not subject to the Art Bonus, while the remaining portion—in this case, €824.50—can be eligible for the 65% tax credit provided by the Art Bonus itself. Thanks to this incentive, a good portion of the donation will be recovered, in fact the actual cost will be €464.08, instead of €1000.
