Among his recent debuts are the Rossini Opera Festival, where he conducted Tre Cantate per voce sola, coro e orchestra by Rossini, in the first performance of a new critical edition; and a concert leading the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino for the opening of the festival “C’è Musica e Musica.”
His opera engagements include Puccini’s Madama Butterfly in the historic production by Renata Scotto, revived by Renato Bonajuto for the Teatro dell’Opera Giocosa di Savona and for the Rete Lirica Marche theaters; Rossini’s La Cenerentola at the Teatro Marrucino in Chieti; Verdi’s La Traviata for “Perugia Musica Classica” at the Teatro Morlacchi; Menotti’s The Medium for the Luglio Musicale Trapanese; and Don Pasquale for the Ente Concerti Maria Lisa de Carolis in Sassari.
He has conducted many Italian orchestras, including I Pomeriggi Musicali in Milan, the Orchestra Regionale Toscana, the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, the Orchestra Sinfonica Rossini of Pesaro, the Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana, the Orchestra Sinfonica di Bari, the Filarmonica Marchigiana and the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese.
He has also collaborated with the Orchestra of the Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova for Don Pasquale and conducted the inaugural concert of the new Orchestra ICO 131 della Basilicata with harpist Claudia Lamanna at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari.
He was the protagonist of an important national project with Verdi’s Rigoletto, produced by AsLiCo for OperaDomani, which saw him conduct in venues such as the Teatro Sociale in Como, the Arena Sferisterio in Macerata, the Teatro Regio in Parma, the Teatro Grande in Brescia, and many others. For the Teatro Coccia in Novara, as part of the “Opera per Famiglia” season, he conducted Carmen and Le nozze di Figaro.
In 2017, as a conductor, he won the Premio Nazionale delle Arti and made his debut at the MITO Festival, conducting the world premiere of Per aspra ad astra by Gianluca Cascioli.
