Playing in an orchestra is a bit like playing in a hockey team. All teammates contribute to a common goal, to make the puck end up in the opposing team's net. In short, it is the Gioco di squadra (Teamwork), to help the attacker to score, as in the case of the accompaniment of a soloist in a Piano Concerto such as Rachmaninov's wonderful Second, and to "build" together an effective, harmonious and functional game, as in the case of a Symphony such as the Seventh by Beethoven, in which each individual instrumentalist contributes significantly to the expressive success of the performance, and as the title of the new composition by Nicola Campogrande commissioned by the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
