Update – 23 February 2026
We inform our audience that, due to a sudden indisposition, Maestro Kolja Blacher will be unable to conduct the scheduled concert. We thank Maestro Julius Zeman for his kind availability in taking over the conducting duties.
The programme has been revised and is now confirmed as follows: Symphony No. 25 by W. A. Mozart; Trumpet Concerto by F. J. Haydn; Symphony No. 4 “Tragic” by F. Schubert.
It’s not every day to find a 24-years old first trumpet of a great symphony orchestra. Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano does. His name is Alessandro Rosi. He graduated from the Conservatory at the age of 15 with honors, and nowadays he’s a first trumpet with a sound and expressiveness to envy. For the first time Rosi gets up from the music stand of the orchestra and becomes a soloist, in Haydn's Concerto for trumpet and orchestra. Joining him is the talented young conductor Julius Zeman, who returns to conduct Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano in a programme that transports us to the grace and joy of Haydn, Schubert and Mozart's Vienna.
